the human technology foundation
The Human Technology Foundation, created in 2012, is a foundation but also a research and action network that places the human being at the heart of technological development.
Digital technologies are profoundly transforming the way we study, work, get information, interact and, more generally, live.
However, they do not in themselves contribute to human development.
Their positive impact depends on the decisions of those who develop, implement or regulate them, and these players do not always have a clear understanding of the impact of these technologies on people, societies and the environment, nor of the ethical issues they entail and how to deal with them.

Faced with this situation, the Human Technology Foundation is committed to enlightening and supporting public and private decision-makers in their reflections on ethics and actions aimed at managing digital technologies in a way that respects human rights and promotes the well-being of populations.

Our foundation brings together public and private decision-makers, researchers and NGOs, all committed to ensuring that the technologies we use are beneficial tools for humanity, helping to build a more inclusive, sustainable and respectful society.

The Human Technology Foundation network has several hundred members and operates in Paris, Montreal, San Francisco, Rome, Brussels and Geneva.
